Our dear friends at Sandbox just shared some interesting facts about sleep with us! Check out the wonderful infographic “So What If You Don’t Sleep Enough?” by Cliff Kuang.
Only 7% of people get eight hours of sleep a night. But the effects of this might be calamitous: Getting less sleep is associated with a 200% rise in cancer, a 100% rise in heart disease, and a 20% rise in the likelihood you’ll be dead in 20 years. That said, what the infographic doesn’t tell is that sleeping too much can be almost as a dangerous as not sleeping enough. If you sleep over nine hours a day, you’re more likely to be fat, diabetic, depressed, and have heart disease. So get eight hours, but no more.
// Mai-Li

On the fourth day of Berlin Fashion Week, I joined Mai-Li in Berlin. This is the beautiful sight that met my eye when I arrived at Premium; Mai-Li with iPad!
There was quite some traffic to our stand during the day. We had the honour of being visited by cool shops, stylish PR people, apple generation people wanting to check out our iPad (thanks again Piotr for that one!), a couple of networking geniuses (the former Managing director of Diesel popped by!), a Spanish film team, a paper from Hamburg called Etage Eins and a handful of old and new friends from global networks as Sandbox and CEMS.
At lunchtime we skipped over to Alexanderplatz to join the Myspace Berlin office for lunch at Dolores. And OMG, their burritos – seriously, it’s a must when in Berlin! The Myspace people were such a lovely crowd (and great party people too, we noticed later on that night)!
We’re flattered that people tend to be very keen on the concept of Mutewatch. We hope to be able to pick the right people to present Mutewatch around the world. So people out there; keep throwing your recommendation at us and we will keep following our guidance!
Ps. Thank you Saman for letting us crash at your place!!
Love love,
Livia
