Jonas Strandell, Co-Founder and COO at WSI AB
Jonas has taken the archetypal role as the wise old man in the Mutewatch engineering and industrialisation project, ever since the first day we showed WSI the prototypes. His favorite hobby is racing, but whether it’s tweaking the race car or the actual driving he finds most interesting is not clear. Jonas and his racing team have recently done major work on their car, which included a fresh white paint job, so sponsoring them was a natural step. We will keep our fingers crossed for them in the competitions (and for the longevity of the car).
Jonas Strandell, of Wireless System Integration, has been working with Mutewatch since 2009. WSI, and Jonas in particular have been helping us with the development process, hardware, and finding factories. Also, he spends a lot of time in Asia and has taken us to some great locations around Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
On Mutewatch
I’m impressed by the amount of interest. I usually wear a Mutewatch on flights and the attendants always gather around. It’s great in clubs.
On working with Mutewatch
It’s a great team. You’ve managed to surround yourself with good people, from designers to sales. For us, it’s great to bring a successful product to the factories as they spend a lot of time and effort on engineering and construction without really knowing the results or the end product. It’s fun to part of a project from the beginning, from idea to industrialization.
We just arrived at one of our factories in Guangzhou, China. Here Johan, our Chief engineer, has set up a temporary office together with Jonas Strandell of WSI. This is where you go if you want to see how a Mutewatch gets made.
